It's often a problem for the pilot when you need sunglasses for flying in bright daylight conditions -- but then when you need to look at a chart or details on the instrument panel and you need to remove the sunglasses to be able to see good enough. It is inconvenient and distracting to have to fumble-around with your sunglasses and headset. However, with the Scheyden CLASSIC FLIP-UP sunglasses you just flip-up the sunglass lenses with a touch, and they go right back down into position just as easily. It is really a remarkable design that offers great convenience and functionality for the pilot. With the Scheyden patented flip system and locking mechanism the fumbling-around with sunglasses and headsets is eliminated.

      The patented Scheyden flip-up design is also available in the DUAL-RX design, which allows the pilot to have the Scheyden flip-up sunglasses design but also with his (clear) prescription lenses installed by his optometrist. The DUAL-RX design which allows the the pilot to have his prescription glasses with the flexibility of high-quality sunglass lenses that will flip quickly out of the way.

      The Scheyden sunglasses are available in the FIXED GEAR design which is a fairly conventional design -- but distinctive because of the quality and comfort of the titanium frame and the high optical qualities of the mineral glass lenses. For pilots who feel that they don't need the flip-up feature, the Scheyden FIXED GEAR sunglasses are outstanding as premium sunglasses that should give some of the best comfort, durability and performance.

      The Scheyden sunglasses all have titanium frames with titanium being the lightest yet strongest material available, and with excellent designs for great strength and durability. The frames have spring-loaded hinges and include special silicone rubber temple tips and nose pads to stay in place with little pressure and with the best comfort. The lenses are the highest quality and manufactured with special anti-reflective coatings on front and back and are available in high-contrast bronze and neutral gray tints and all Scheyden lenses provide 100% UVA and UVB protection.
